Trees and shrubs had found a bit of soil wherever they could, between them warm, solid granite, polished by ice ages and crumbled by more than a billion passing years. The hiking here were both easier and harder. More solid than the soft sand, but also climbing and dropping, as the trail zig zagged its way North along the coast towards the next small fishing village
