Walking and sketching

Should I just throw out this one? I put it down… have been struggling to find a balance in the afternoon between both walking and painting, spending what seems to be too much time on both

Combining hiking and painting watercolors

Watercolor and text by Frits Ahlefeldt

I lean back, my legs locked in position. I slowly get up and stuple around to get the blood back, feeling the tingling feeling of the muscles grasping for oxygen. Look at the watch, it is getting late and I still have far to walk.

But the backpack on and start walking with the wet watercolor under my arm. ” It will dry, eventually” I tell myself.

Later in the tent I look through the watercolors from the last hours. “Maybe they will look better in the morning – Maybe not…”

It feels like I have sand in my eyes, from the strong sun. Time to sleep… It is 2012 – it is 2020… Still walking and painting
