Boat under repair forever

When coming back painting on the same spots I realize, that what I thought was a short time repair, stays the same over the years

“Never get a wooden boat” my friend told me… ” You do nothing but repair on it, all the time”. Watching this boat in Nyhavn, Copenhagen, over the years, I think he might be right
