No doubt I’m skeptical about how phones and technology are changing our lives both indoors and on the trails. But once in a while I see it can also do good. Helping people to work together for the environment doing things that would otherwise be harder to do. Or not done at all

One example is how hikers can help document deforestation and share their knowledge over phones and apps. It can help both locals and tree-planting organizations understand better where and how the challenges can be solved and new trees planted
