When designing and building bridges out along the trails it is often better to do simple designs.

The Gadbury bridge is one of the most classic and simple wood bridge designs, often seen in the United States.

The Gadbury wood bridge comes in a lot of varieties, with more stringers, hand rails and other changes. Here is my fast sketch of the basic design: Here two half logs with the flat site up, hold in place by outer logs.
