Appreciating what we have

Umbrella vs boots – seeing what we lack

The double envy paradox

Text and illustration by Frits Ahlefeldt

Often the grass can look greener on the other side, as we focus on what we lack instead of what we have. The good thing is that by talking together we can get the other side of the picture. The guy with the light backpack miss the heavy comfort sleeping pad, while the one with it wish he had a lighter pack and so on.

Suddenly things can start to make sense again and often be almost funny, realizing the grass is actually greener on both sides… and how the other one is a lot like us.
