One speaker after the other came up the podium and talked about how to boost tourism in local places. And slowly I came to wonder about if there was anything off-limits to how and what locals should do to attract tourism to their tiny places, where the tourist dollars might help drive business and add interest for the area

To me it seems like a balance, authenticity is not what the branding experts always agree about, and I wonder if and what we risk of loosing when branding experts and tourism consultants enter the local communities to get the local places ready for the season
