Facing challenges through open innovation
Text and drawing by Frits Ahlefeldt
Creating networks and open innovation along the coastline is key to find ways to support the thrive of local communities and biodiversity, and help us all face local and global challenges like sea level rise and pollution
And like with lighthouses, innovation needs to be open and shared to let everybody win.
The lighthouse is to me a good example of something that is useful and visible to all, a common good system that is open and do not only belong and benefits all and not only a closed group.
I’m a big fan of lighthouses and other kinds of open, shared knowledge that helps us all navigate, innovate and understand the landscapes better.
