Walkable cities are better to live in, they are better for more or less everything actually. Health, thrive, community building, the environment, biodiversity, storytelling and using less resources. Reading and sketching up what walking can do for building better cities in the future. Here is one of the basic drawings, sketching up two kinds of cities most of us are very familiar with: The city designed for driving, vs the city designed for walking:
