Low or high way

Choosing a way of living

Text and drawing by Frits Ahlefeldt

Realized today, that commercials for cars has started to appear in my news-feed and social media feed, promoting all their shining high-priced glamour. No doubt cars has some benefits, or so it might look from behind the wheel, getting where you need to, and far away fast, being protected against bad weather and isolated in a womb of metal and glass. Walking is so different, you will be and need to be much closer to what matters, you will feel the wind and hear the curious questions from your kids as they puzzled stop and look at all you walk by. And you won’t have to deal with petrol prices, collapsing roads, repairs and the trouble of moving one ton of bubble with you, where-ever you go, keeping your eyes on the road. I know for my part I’d rather chose a life on foot with a hand in mine
