Thoughts on how walking might work on thinking
Sketch and text by Frits Ahlefeldt
Researching about philosophers and walking in the studio today. Walking is something thinkers have done a lot for the last at least 3000 years to solve paradoxes, think up solutions and find new ways – simply by walking. A tradition the Greeks first made popular in Europe under the mantra “it is solved by walking” ( Solvitur Ambulando ) But just how exactly are things solved when the ground is changing and the thoughts are flying high? That is what I moved a few steps closer on today 🙂
