Feeling of walking along the sea

“I am the Ocean”

Walking on the beaches and  rock shores of the worlds coastlines is walking along the mythological, incredible and at times scary oceans.  I just saw an impressive small 2 min. film that starts with the words “I am the Ocean” (Speak by Harrison Ford) about the Oceans from Conservation.org

Coastal paths often have qualities very different from inland and mountain trails, their powers are at least as strong, and often surprise people not familiar with the Sea, and its ever changing tidal waves and storms, calm and endless beaches landscapes and borders between land and water… sometimes it can even feels like the Sea is alive

One of the things that make coast trails so different to hike is that, in a metaphorical way, they are trails along the unknown depths of, and on the fringe of the water-world that covers and hides most of this planet from our eyes and reach.

When hiking along a coastal trail it can feel like your walking along a incredible large, dynamic and ever moving something… think there is a glimpse of this in the strong  2 min. “Harrison Ford is the Sea” video about the importance of the ocean and keeping a good relationship with it from Conservation International. The film is part of their Nature is speaking series Check it out, here is the address on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rM6txLtoaoc
