Two different kinds of logic

In my work have started to take my chances on a new way of working, inspired by the trails, not the silos, still learning a lot about this but starting to see some differences:
When hiking there is a logic that goes a bit like the more people use the trails, the better they become, the more resources will be used on them and, maybe like on the web, the better they can be maintained and supported.
Very different from the private silos, headquarters and comfort zones, it seems to me like the trails might be seen as part of a joint public good that everybody can use and gain from, without taking anything away from the rest – actually you help create them by walking them.
That is what I love so much about hiking out there, away from the silos, the frame is so different – especially in the evening when all the experts gather around the fireside, talking under the stars, laughing and taking turns keeping the fire alive after long days walking together.
To me trail thinking seem so different from silo-thinking
